MarkUp.io Pricing 2026: Plans, Price Changes, and Cheaper Alternatives
MarkUp.io lists one public paid plan: Pro at $79 per month, billed monthly, with unlimited users and one workspace. Above it sits an Enterprise tier that is quoted on request.
There is no free plan on the pricing page. New accounts start on a 14-day trial that does not ask for a credit card, and you get one trial per registered user.
MarkUp.io plans and prices
Two plans plus a trial. Pricing is flat rather than per seat, which is the single most important thing to understand before you compare it to anything else.

Full plan features for 14 days. One trial per registered user. At the end you are prompted in-app to add billing details to continue.

Did MarkUp.io raise its prices?
Here is the honest answer, because it is not the one most pages on this topic give you. MarkUp.io's own pricing announcement, published in June 2022, introduced the Pro plan at $79 per month. That is still the listed price on the pricing page today. We could not verify a later price increase against any MarkUp.io source.
What did change is the free tier. The 2022 announcement described paid plans arriving alongside a free way to keep using MarkUp.io. The pricing page in August 2026 lists only Pro and Enterprise, with a 14-day trial where the free plan used to be. MarkUp.io's own pricing FAQ still describes a restricted free workspace capped at five MarkUps — so something free may still exist behind the sign-up, but it is no longer a plan you can pick.
If you used MarkUp.io casually and for free, that is the change that actually hit you, and it is very likely why "price increase" is the phrase people type into Google. You will also find posts quoting a specific jump from a lower monthly price to $79. We could not corroborate those numbers against MarkUp.io's own pages or announcements, so we do not repeat them here. Have a dated invoice or screenshot that shows otherwise? Send it over and we will update this page.
What MarkUp.io costs a freelancer per year
No annual plan is listed, so the yearly cost is simply the monthly price times twelve. Sobering when a handful of client projects a year has to carry it.
Straight multiplication of the listed monthly price; the pricing page shows monthly billing only, so there is no annual discount to factor in. Unlimited users are included, so this number does not grow with the size of your team — which is exactly why it stings most for a team of one.
A cheaper MarkUp.io alternative for client feedback
If you landed here because $79 a month is hard to justify for a handful of client projects a year, the real question isn't which plan to pick. It's whether you need a full team review platform at all.
dotts does the one job most freelancers actually need: your client opens a link, clicks on the page, and leaves a comment. No account, no workspace, no invite, no extension. Every comment arrives with an automatic screenshot plus the browser, OS and viewport it came from, so you never have to ask "on what device?" again.
- No client login — they click the link and comment
- One simple price, with a free plan to start on
- EU-hosted and GDPR-first (MarkUp.io is US-based, owned by Ceros)
- Copy for AI and the doby AI MCP server push feedback straight into Claude Code or Cursor
To be fair to MarkUp.io: it handles 30+ file types including video, and its workspaces and roles are built for larger teams. If that is your workflow, $79 a month for unlimited users is a reasonable buy. dotts is the better fit when the job is client review of websites, PDFs and images — and when the person paying is you.
MarkUp.io pricing, answered
$79 per month for the Pro plan, billed monthly, with unlimited users and one workspace. Enterprise is custom-priced on request. Checked against the MarkUp.io pricing page on 20 August 2026.
Not on the pricing page. MarkUp.io lists Pro and Enterprise plus a 14-day free trial that does not ask for a credit card. MarkUp.io's own pricing FAQ still describes a restricted free workspace limited to five MarkUps, so something free may exist behind the sign-up — but it is no longer offered as a plan you can choose.
MarkUp.io announced the Pro plan at $79 per month in June 2022, and $79 is still the listed price in August 2026, so we cannot verify a headline price increase from MarkUp.io's own sources. What changed for most people is the free tier: the pricing page now offers a 14-day trial where a free plan used to sit.
No. Pro is a flat $79 per month for unlimited users. That makes it comparatively good value for a bigger team and comparatively expensive for one person.
$948 for twelve months of Pro at the listed $79 per month. The pricing page shows monthly billing only, so there is no annual discount listed.
